Gaganyaan Mission: Sending Astronauts to Space from India

Modi said that under the Gaganyaan mission, Prashant Balakrishnan Nair, Angad Pratap, Ajit Krishnan and Subhanshu Shukla will go into space. Modi as Prime Minister handed over 'astronaut wings' to four astronauts at the Vikram Sarabhai Space Center (VSSC) in Thumba near Thiruvananthapuram. Under the Gaganyaan mission, four astronauts will be sent into orbit at an altitude of 400 km above the Earth's surface. This ISRO mission is for three days. These astronauts will land in the Arabian Sea after completing the mission.

Prashant Balakrishnan Nair: According to a report by press agency Indian Express, Group Captain Prashant Balakrishnan Nair is a resident of Kerala. He trained for space flight missions in Russia.

Ajit Krishnan: Group Captain Ajit Krishnan is among the four 'Space Heroes' selected for the Gaganyaan mission.

Angad Pratap: Indian space agency ISRO said that group captain Angad Pratap, along with three others, also trained in Russia for 13 months.

Shubhanshu Shukla: Wing Commander Shubhanshu Shukla also trained at the Yuri Gagarin Cosmonaut Training Center in the Russian capital, Moscow.

Modi will inaugurate any project?

The three projects that PM Modi is set to inaugurate include PSLV Integration Facility at Satish Dhawan Space Center in Sriharikota, Semi-Cryogenic Integrated Engine and Stage Test Facility at ISRO Propulsion Complex at Mahendragiri and Trisonic Wind Tunnel at VSSC. With the PSLV integration facility, the capacity of 6 PSLV rockets launched per year will be increased to 15. That is, the capacity will be increased.
